Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 14, 2026
Short version: PixVela collects no data about you. All image processing happens in your browser. Your files never leave your device.
1. What Data We Collect
None. PixVela does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. We do not collect:
- Your name, email address, or any identifying information
- Your IP address or location data
- Your images or the metadata within them
- Usage patterns, clicks, or browsing behavior
2. How We Process Your Files
All image processing in PixVela happens entirely within your web browser using client-side JavaScript and WebAssembly. Here is what that means in practice:
- When you select an image, it is loaded into your browser's memory (RAM), not uploaded to any server.
- EXIF parsing, metadata stripping, C2PA inspection, image compression, conversion, resizing, cropping, and watermarking all run on your device's CPU.
- Processed files are offered for download directly in your browser. Nothing is sent to our servers.
- When you close the browser tab, all file data is cleared from memory.
3. Third-Party Services
PixVela uses no third-party analytics, advertising networks, or data brokers. The only third-party infrastructure involved is:
- Cloudflare Pages — hosts and serves the static site files. Cloudflare may log access requests at the network level as part of their infrastructure operations. See Cloudflare's privacy policy for details.
We have no access to Cloudflare's server logs and we do not use any analytics service to process them.
4. Cookies
PixVela does not use cookies. No cookies are set by this website. Your browser settings, preferences, and history are not tracked.
5. Analytics
PixVela does not use any analytics software. We do not use Google Analytics, Plausible, Fathom, or any other tool that tracks visitor behavior, page views, or usage patterns.
6. Local Storage and Browser Cache
PixVela does not write anything to localStorage or sessionStorage. Your browser may cache site assets (JavaScript, CSS, fonts, WASM modules) to enable faster loading on repeat visits and offline usage — this is standard browser caching behavior and contains no personal data.
7. Children's Privacy
PixVela is a general-purpose tool and is not directed at children under 13. Because we collect no personal data from anyone, there is no special concern regarding children's data.
8. Changes to This Policy
If we ever change this privacy policy in a meaningful way, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Because we collect no data, any changes are likely to be minor clarifications rather than substantive policy shifts.
